Interview of Stefanie and Jolin on Love

They have been good friends for more than 10 years. But when it comes to affairs of the heart, Taiwanese pop princesss Jolin Tsai and local songbird Stefanie Sun are extremely different.




The two were recently featured in an interview together, where they talked about their views on love.



Jolin said that she is more able to tolerate, while Stefanie is more rational.



"[I] would not allow someone to treat me badly," Stefanie said.



Both Jolin and Stefanie's boyfriends are tall and have a healthy image. When asked if they would fall for the same guy, Jolin replied, "[It] wouldn't be possible."



"Why? Do you dislike mine?" Stefanie questioned quickly, eliciting laughter from those present.



When talking about her ideal guy, Stefanie said, "I like the sun, so [those who] exercise is a bonus. He has to be humourous and optimistic.



"Those three points are OK, and he must be dependable. To me, being handsome is a bonus," Jolin added.



Stefanie has been dating Nadim, her boyfriend, for five years now. The local songbird had said that she would marry earlier than Jolin and expressed that love and family would always be her top priority. Stefanie even stated that she would like to have four kids.



On the other hand, Jolin had only been dating New Zealand model Vivian Dawson for half a year and admitted that she currently "has no thoughts of getting married".

Sun admitted through her music label Wonderful Music that she will indeed wed her Dutch boyfriend of five years Nadim Van Der Ros very soon and had already filed a marriage application.



"She originally wanted to find an opportunity to announce it, but never had the time. Who would have thought the media would go public with it before she did," a spokesperson from Wonderful Music Sun told Hong Kong media on Wednesday.



The spokesperson expressed that details of her nuptials will be kept under wraps though Sun "will share the good news with everyone when the time is right, since it is a joyous occasion".



Sun also thanked all her fans and friends for their well-wishes in a micro-blog post on Wednesday.



"Oh, already so full, full, full of happiness! Heee, thank you all! Very heart-warming," wrote Sun.



No wonder Sun was confident enough to declare in recent interviews that she would get married before good buddy Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai did!



Wedding date speculation



Since Sun's confirmation of her wedding plans, speculation have been rife when her wedding date will be.



Many believe it may be sometime in May though her marriage application provides no indication of when she will marry.



According to marriage laws in Singapore, once their marriage application has been filed and notice of their marriage has been given, a couple can then schedule a solemnization of their marriage, a ceremony where they will sign the marriage certificate that makes them legally man and wife.



The solemnization can be held 21 days after a marriage notice has been given (excluding the day their application) was filed at the earliest or three months after their filing date at the latest (including the filing date).



If the couple's marriage is not solemnized within three months, they can simply make another application though they will have to go through the whole waiting period again.

Stefanie Sun secretly married last month

SINGAPORE - Popular Chinese singer Stefanie Sun is said to have gotten secretly married at the end of last month.

A Shin Min Daily reporter discovered a marriage application while surfing the Registry of Marriages website, which showed that Sun, 32, had registered her union with boyfriend of 5 years, Nadim Van Der Ros, on 31 March 2011.
The ROM search showed details of Mr Van Der Ros' birthdate, as well as Sun's dialect name, Sng Ee Tze.
In past interviews, Sun had indicated that she would get married when she had the time, without providing any specifics.
The couple were wedded in low-key ceremony last month, when Sun came back to Singapore for a publicity tour.
Sun had been in a relationship with her boyfriend since 2006. He also moved from Hong Kong to Singapore in order to be with her. He is originally from Holland.
Sun has also been seen in public with Van Der Ros at the Ironman triathlon until last year, showing him support. He was a participant in the athletic competition.
